Turn off the apps that you are not using
Closing the apps from pressing the home or back button is not enough. These apps are continuing on the background of your phone use and drain the battery power. When you are not using the apps just shut those apps from the background of your device as well, that should not drain the battery power of your phone.

If you are not really in need of your device vibration to make you alert of your calls or texts, so just turn off the vibration of your device. Because the vibration of your phone will drain the battery power of your smartphone. By turning off your mobile’s vibration will help your device to save the life of your android phone battery longer.

3. Reduce the brightness of your device
You love your phone’s large, bright and colorful display. But the full brightness of your phone can drain the battery power of your smartphone. Most of the phones have Auto-brightness feature that automatically adjust the brightness of the device. This mode uses less power than constantly running your phone’s screen at full brightness would. But you can get a better result of saving battery turning your smartphone’s screen’s brightness down to the lowest when you are not needy of your mobile’s bright display. By reducing the brightness of your device’s display you can save the battery life of your phone longer.
4. Make the screen timeout short
In your phone’s display menu, you can find an option which is “screen timeout” or something similar to this. (on in iPhone device, search for Auto-Lock in the general settings menu). This setting controls for how long your device’s screen stays lit after receiving input from you, such as a tap.
Set your screen’s timeout to the shortest time available time on your device, because every second drain the battery of your phone. If your screen timeout is currently on 2 minutes, set your screen timeout on the minimum time to save battery power.

5. Power saving modes of your phone
You may find the power saving mode features provided to go beyond anything available in android by default. But iPhone system doesn’t have a power saving modes. By enabling this battery saving mode will manage your device’s different power sapping features for you.
For example, it will prevent the apps from updating in the background of your phone, reduce the screen brightness, disable on-screen animations and will turn off the vibration. This mode usually turns on when your battery level downs to 20 percent. But you can set this mode on 30 percent instead to save the battery power from draining down.

In our smartphones we use social networking, photos, quick searches, calls, text messages, streaming music, watching videos etc. We close them just by pressing the back button which is not enough for turning off the apps, just the list of apps goes on in the background of your phone. But each thing you do will drain the battery of your phone. There is an app called “Greenify” can fix that for you.
Greenify saves the battery of your phone by effectively and systematically pushing apps into a sort of “hibernation” mode, an idle position that will keep the apps from running in the background of your phone and draining down your android phone battery power.
7. Turn off the Wi-Fi of your device
Your phone’s Wi-Fi is really a battery drainer. While when you are using the Wi-Fi connection of your home or office that’s OK. But when you are not needy of Wi-Fi connection to use, just turn off your Wi-Fi in your device. By turning off your Wi-Fi of your phone, your android phone battery lasts a bit longer.
8. Turn off the Bluetooth of your device
We love using Bluetooth with our hands-free headset, our wireless speaker or activity tracker, the extra radio is constantly listening for signals from the outside the world. When you are not in your car, or when you are not playing the music wirelessly just turn off your device’s Bluetooth. By doing this you can add an hour to your smartphone’s battery life.
9. Avoid live wallpapers and widgets for android phone battery
Live wallpapers can also drain your phone’s battery a lot. Just set a standard wallpaper for the display of your phone. If you have a widget on your home screen that’s displaying some kinds of live data, then that will drain your phone’s battery. So just use a standard wallpaper and avoiding widget is a good way to save battery life of your smartphones.
